George Toney, Jan. 4, 1942 – May 17, 2026, our hero, left this world at age 84 to be reunited with our Lord.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lida; father, Robert; sisters, Lori, Virginia, and Hilda; a brother, Robert; wife of 40 years, Mary; and his baby angel, Teresa.
He leaves behind daughters, Mary and Sarah; grandchildren, Courtney and Christopher; and many friends and other extended family.
In remembering George, we know a loving, protective husband and father who worked hard to provide for everyone around him. He loved fishing and going morel hunting, was a good card player, and an honest man who loved God and Star Trek.
You will be forever missed. We will love you always, until we meet again.
Memorial Graveside Service for George will be at 1:00 PM on June 5, 2026 at Mound Grove Cemetery, 1818 N River Blvd, Independence, MO 64050. Arr. Hill & Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, MO.
