A day of crafts, food, and Christmas fun happens on December 6, 2025. The people of Appleton City will be celebrating their 29th annual Christmas in the Country on Saturday, the 6th.
“The 29th Annual Christmas in the Country Depot Craft Show will provide shopping pleasure for all. All items provided for sale are handcrafted by vendors,” read the event flyer.
The craft show will take place by the train depot—
“We are absolutely packed with vendors,” said Kenna Bartz of Bartz Photography.
Featured at the event is a craft show, a book signing with local author Jenna Elliston, a bake sale, and businesses along the strip open for the event
The public library will also have a large part in the event. From 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., excitement for bookworms and foodies is provided by a book signing by local author Jenna Elliston and a bake sale.
“We will have many baked goods for purchase. The funds will go to the continuation of the Appleton City Public Library and its programs,” said Librarian Karen Spangler.
There will Steel Band present as well as a potato bar and much more food—a potato bar, chili supper, candy cane hunt, and more….
The event will start at 8:00, and the parade will start at 6:00. The tree lighting will follow.
