Thank you to all who entered, judged, and who came to enjoy this year’s art show. Also thank you to all who took the time to vote for the People’s Choice Award for their favorite artists. We had 125 entries in total. 81 adult entries and 44 youth entries.

The cash prize was presented by an artist from the St. Clair County State Bank each year. The First award is for the overall Best of Show with a prize of $100.00. This year’s winner was John T. Williams. The title was “ Geode Creek”.

Four artists got the Outstanding Award for $50.00. They were Bobby Johnson, John W. Williams, John Putnam, and Olive Harrington.

Fourteen artists got the Remarkable Award for $25.00. They were Mike Higgins, Kathy Ticknor, Susan Jones(2 paintings), Diana Smith, Karen Kestrel, Taylor Geiger, Ava Uptegrove, Rylee Henry, Lyla Wisner, Madeline Vozar, Jules Smith, Kaiya Smith, Bie Dailey, and Alissa Baker.

We also had an Art Guild Raffle. The winner was Jeanne Dearing. This beautiful painting was created by Janna Sheldon. Money raised benefits scholarships awarded by the Osceola Art Guild.

Thanks to all who participated in the People’s Choice Award. The winner for Adults was Anna Farnsworth and the winner for youth was Ava Uptegrove.

Once again we thank all people of all ages who entered their artwork and photography. We appreciate you all! There would be no art show without you. Thanks to the wonderful staff of the St. Clair County Library for providing the venue again this year. A special thank you to Kirk Sibley, Susan Brockus and our Lakeland Art teacher, Michelle Geiss. They worked so hard and gave their time to this event, you are very much appreciated. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped in this event.

Two hundred sixty-three signed our book during the show. I’m sure there were more that came in. Another successful year. Remember to save those paintings and photographs!! See you all next year.
